One of the many questions we get asked is why Moon-Raven? It's a long story, that revolves around a piece of artwork that the director of BladeSec IA drew:-

Around the birth of the world-wide web, the director was working for the first dedicated business internet service provider, Xara Networks. The domain "moon-raven.co.uk", crudely representing that artwork, seemed like a natural domain to be deployed for his personal e-mail.
Moving forward, it was used for a variety of different personal projects, including a fairly successful urban fiction website. The logo also appears on the headstock and sound hole of a guitar that was customised by the Director during extensive traditional music sessions in the early naughties. (The guitar itself continues to be used by his son.) As information security and digital services became more important to the day job, the moon-raven.co.uk domain was finally deployed into a long-running technology programme, called "BladeSec Weaponised" in 2019.
The domain mr-mail.net was used as an abbreviation for "Moon-Raven Mail" and is broadly identical in form and function. It may be worth noting The Simpsons' "Mr. Plow" episode added another dimension.
And for the sake of completion, the previous owner of "mr-mail.net" appeared to be French, who's initials were indeed "M.R.".
